With a sometimes odd or dry sense of humor, Mike has a passion to communicate the Gospel of Jesus in memorable and interesting ways. He has served as Senior Pastor at Gateway Christian Church since the summer of 2002, coming here after ministries in Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Growing up as a "preacher’s kid" he has often referred to his ministry as being a "utility infielder." He has served as a youth, worship, small groups, associate, campus, and preaching minister. These roles have motivated a life-long love of learning. He is currently working towards his Master’s of Divinity from Denver Seminary. He is a graduate of Ozark Christian College and has attended classes at Johnson Bible College and Cincinnati Bible Seminary. His wife, Lisa, has served by his side in ministry throughout their 27 years of marriage. He has four children: Lauren, Jessie, Bri, and Elijah.
Jordan grew up in a small farm town in northeast Colorado. While he was growing up, he played basketball and baseball for nine years. He graduated from Manhattan Christian College in Manhattan, Kansas in May of 2007 and is currently considering where to continue his education. Before he started his studies at MCC in August of 2005, Jordan was an auto technician for five years with Honda and Firestone and graduated from an automotive trade school in Wyoming in June of 2001. Apryl (his wife) and Jordan were high school sweethearts and got married shortly after high school. They have three young children; Angel, Xavier, and Isabella. Jordan's many interests include Notre Dame, sports (especially football), cars, history and games. In addition to that Jordan enjoys spending time with his family and students.
Joyce has been a member of Gateway Christian Church since 1979 and has been active in or led Bible Studies, Women's Ministries, Mothers of Preschoolers, Vacation Bible School, Choir, Bell Choir, Wedding Coordinator, Sunday School Teacher, Nursery Coordinator, volunteer office help, and is currently our Office Administrator. She recently received her Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management and Christian Leadership from Colorado Christian University. She has been married for 38 years to Stuart (one of our Elders) and has two sons, two daughters-in-law, three grandsons, and an adopted teenage granddaughter. She, like Mike, is also a book-aholic, and can find humor in any situation, so the office is never boring.
